Organic Vegetable Gardening

Organic vegetable gardening is the oldest form of gardening and at the same time is the healthiest!  If you like organic vegetable gardening you will experience a lot of rewards, and fun, and the best of all is that everyone with some space in their house can do it, as it is less expensive than conventional gardening.

Practicing organic vegetable gardening is great for you and your family.  All commercial vegetables which are not organic are sprayed with insecticides such as DDT – and that’s not something you’d like to put on your mouth is it? By growing your organic vegetables, you are making sure you are feeding yourself and your family with natural products that won’t hurt nobody in the long term.

If you are new to organic gardening you may be surprised to discover that all gardening problems – even pests and weeds – can be solved with natural solutions.  These solutions are cheaper, and safer, unlike the chemicals found in other vegetables.

Many people think that all bugs are bad for your garden, but this is not the case.  Ladybugs, for example, help you take care of other insects that hurt your plants. You’d like to keep them in your garden! The same happens with other animals that can prove beneficial to your vegetable garden, such as birds, toads or chickens.

Isn’t organic vegetable gardening more expensive?

No, there is a misconception due to the prices of organic products in the market.  Organic vegetables are always higher priced than common vegetables with chemicals, but that’s not because they are more expensive to grow; it is because I think, because of the benefit of health they are selling to you.  When you think about it, organic gardening has to be cheaper, because you are just basically letting nature do all the work for you, and you are keeping from consuming chemical based products that need to be bought over and over again.
